Illogicity of Abortion

Abortion is immoral, as it murders an unborn child and defies the Laws of God. The Justices of the Supreme Court who decided to legalize abortion did not disregard only religion, morality, and Truth, they also disregarded sound reason and logic. By the rulings of the Supreme Court Justices, an unborn child is not considered human until it is born. Up to the moment of birth it is regarded as a mere form of matter that may be destroyed. By definition of the Court, if a child were born at 6:00, but at 5:59 were unborn, the child is not human at 5:59, but is considered human at 6:00. This is clearly illogical. The only difference in the child at 6:00 and 5:59 is the location of the child - at one minute he is born, while at the other he is still in his mother’s womb. Location cannot be used to determine whether or not something is human, as the location of any person or creature changes throughout the day. It is clearly logical that if the child were human at 6:00, then it must be human at 5:59, when it was unborn. Taking such a point further, if the unborn child were human at 5:59, than it must be human the minutes, hours, days, and months before 5:59. It is therefore logical to conclude that the unborn child is truly a human being from the moment of conception. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court Justices decided to disregard such facts, and instead based their decision to legalize abortion on personal whims and desires rather than on the fact that an unborn child is human, and like all life, is sacred.

Thank you. Actually, I wrote that awhile back, before begining any aspect of the Roe v. Wade essay.
